WISDOM ACADEMY AWARDED SBA GRANT!
On June 23, 2026, Wisdom Academy was awarded a $1.1 million grant from the West Virginia School Building Authority (SBA). This significant funding will support the school's continued efforts to provide a safe, modern, and innovative learning environment for students and staff.
The grant will assist Wisdom Academy in addressing critical facility needs and expanding educational spaces that support student achievement, enrollment growth, and innovative programming. A building will be purchased to house our middle school component. Additional planned improvements include enhancements to the instructional areas, student learning spaces, STEM/STEAM labs, safety features, an updated physical education facility, a playground and infrastructure that will better serve the school's student population.
This grant represents a transformational investment in our students, staff, and community. The support provided by the West Virginia School Building Authority, via legislative appropriations, will help us create learning environments that inspire excellence, foster innovation, and prepare our students for future success.

On behalf of the Administration, Board of Directors and the amazing Staff, we thank our students and their families for a wonderful first school year of Wisdom Academy! Everyone learned so much over this first year and we are excited to begin the 2026-2027 School Year in August. Please look for our Academic Calendar posted in the News Section of this Website. Please join our Wisdom Academy Students and Staff to our End of the Year Open House on Thursday, May 21 beginning at 1 pm when we dedicate the First Year! We welcome parents and community members to join us!
Students will be celebrated and each class will be showcasing their new skills in ways such as plays, art shows, poetry reading and so much more!

Wisdom Academy is Enrolling Now for the 2026 - 2027 Academic Year. We will be serving students Pre-K through 8th grade. Families interested in a tour may make appointments to visit Wisdom Academy by calling 304 404 3130 or emailing Charla McNaboe at charla.mcnaboe@k12.wv.us.
